Michelle originally attended nursing school at Cox College of Nursing where she graduated with her ASN in 2005. She started working in Neuro Trauma ICU at Mercy Hospital right after graduation until 2016. While working full-time in Neuro Trauma ICU she finished her BSN and graduated Summa Cum Laude and was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau International, Honor Society of Nursing. Michelle then took a position with the Trauma Services Department at Cox Hospital in 2016. She continued her education, working as a Trauma/Orthopedic Trauma Clinician while finishing her Master of Science in Nursing. Michelle completed her degree in 2018, graduating with honors, and is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. During her nursing career Michelle was very active in teaching and educating. Programs such as Young Traffic Offenders, lecturing at conferences and nurse training events, and serving as the Chair for the Organ Donation Council at Cox South.
Michelle grew up locally in Stockton, Mo. She lives in Eudora, Mo.with her 2 dogs. Her daughter that went to Stephen’s College in Columbia, Mo., where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Equine Science. Michelle loves to read, travel, kayak, and spend time with my friends and family, who are not hard to find since they live right next door on the family horse farm.
